(C) Birthdate – Helps members understand your professional experience level

(D) Role – Your designation within the platform (e.g., Site Member, StartUp, Coach)

(E) Job Title – Your current professional position or role

(F) About Me – A personal description you provide to introduce yourself to the community

(G) Website – Your professional or personal website link, if you choose to share one

4.3 You have full control over the information you share on the platform. By providing this information, you consent to it being visible to other registered members of the platform for networking and collaboration purposes. You may update or modify your profile information at any time through your account settings.

4.4 This information is shared to enable you to:

(A) Build professional relationships within our ecosystem

(B) Find potential collaborators, mentors, or team members

(C) Showcase your expertise and professional background

(D) Connect with others who share similar interests or goals

4.5 While this information is visible to platform members, it will not be shared with third parties outside the platform without your explicit consent, and will not be disclosed to entities outside EU member states in compliance with our contractual obligations.

5.1 We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers, or subcontractors as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.

6. Platform Infrastructure and Data Storage

6.1 The digital platform is created, hosted, and maintained by Dir.bg, with all servers located in Bulgaria. This is our preferred infrastructure setup as it ensures data sovereignty, compliance with Bulgarian regulations, and optimal service delivery for our users. 7. Compliance with EU Law

7.1 This project is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all applicable EU data protection laws. As the platform is hosted on Bulgarian servers maintained by Dir.bg, we operate under Bulgarian and EU data protection frameworks. In accordance with Article 5, we retain the discretion to operate under broader EU legal provisions where such frameworks offer enhanced protection for user rights or prove more beneficial for the project’s compliance and operational requirements.

8. International Data Transfers

8.1 Information that we collect may be stored, processed, and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate to enable us to use the information in accordance with this policy.

8.2 The information we collect will not be shared with countries outside of EU member states in compliance with our contract. We will only implement activities that are required in the contract. Data will be used only to implement what is required by the contract.

8.3 Personal information that you publish on our website or submit for publication on our website may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.

8.4 You expressly agree to the transfers of personal information described in this Section.

9. Retaining Personal Information

9.1 This Section 6 sets out our data retention policies and procedure, which are designed to help ensure that we comply with our legal obligations regarding the retention and deletion of personal data.

9.2 All info gathered during the SCALE’HER project will be retained after the project is over for research purposes, but will be anonymized. This means that only the generic data is kept, not the personal data.

9.3 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 6, we will retain documents (including electronic documents) containing personal data:

(A) To the extent that we are required to do so by law.

(B) If we believe that the documents may be relevant to any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings.

(C) To establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk).

10. Protection of Personal Information

10.1 We will take reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or deletion of your personal information.

10.2 We will store all the personal information you provide on our password-protected servers.

10.3 All electronic financial transactions entered into through our website will be protected by encryption technology.

10.4 You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

10.5 You are responsible for keeping the password you use for accessing our website confidential.

(B) We may ask you for appropriate proof of your identity (for this purpose, we usually require a copy of your ID card certified by a notary. We may also request a copy of invoices showing your physical address such as invoices for electricity, water, phone).

12.2 We may not disclose any personal information requested to the extent permitted by law.

12.3 You may inform us at any time not to use your personal data for marketing purposes.

12.4 By practically using our services and website, you agree that we may use your personal information for marketing purposes. We will provide you with the opportunity to opt out of using your personal data for marketing purposes.

13. Other Websites - Third Parties

13.1 Our website contains hyperlinks to and details of third-party websites.

13.2 We have no control over them and are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of third parties.

14. Updating Information

14.1 Please inform us if the personal information we have about you needs to be corrected or updated.

Your Right to Withdraw Consent (Retraction of Consent)

15.1 Where we process your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal data conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

15.2 You may withdraw your consent at any time by:

15.3 We will process your withdrawal request without undue delay and within one month of receiving your request. In certain complex cases, this period may be extended by two additional months, in which case we will inform you of the extension and the reasons for the delay.

15.4 Upon withdrawal of consent:

(A) We will cease processing your personal data for the purposes to which you originally consented

(B)Your personal data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our retention policy, unless we are required to retain it for legal or contractual obligations

(C) You may no longer be able to access certain features or services of the platform that require the processing of your personal data

15.5 Following withdrawal of consent, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days.
